Last days in Melbourne

Nu sitter vi på Nomads hostel för 3e natten i Cairns. Vädret har hittills levt upp till våra förväntningar och vi går och njuter av solen varje dag. Första dagen låg vi bara vid poolen och tog det lugnt, var sedan ute på pub crawl på kvällen! Vilket var skitkul! Idag har vi varit runt i stan och job huntat, ska även in imorn och gå på informationsmöten och annat roligt! Wish us luck!

A couple of days before leaving Melbourne we went to "Shrine of Remembrance" which is the National War Memorial of Victoria, a monument dedicated to all those who have served in the armed conflicts and peacekeeping operations in which Australia has participated.

In the afternoon we went to the area called "Fitzroy" which is a quite alternative little area with much graffiti and cool cafées, restaurants.
At night we went for a drink at the restaurant "Florentine's" where Rebecca works, and then to the cinema and saw "Gone Girl".

Can't Say

Fredagkväll spenderade vi med fina Rebecca. Först gick vi ut och hade tapas, sedan drog vi vidare ut till en klubb kallad "can't say" och hade en väldigt kul kväll! Idag har vi varit på stranden hela dagen, och även bokat resa upp till Cairns(!!) som vi beger oss till på fredag!
//Friday night we spent with lovely Rebecca. First we went out and had tapas, then went to a club called "Can't say" and had an awesome time! Today we have been at the beach all day, and even booked the trip up to Cairns for Friday!

Melbourne, AUS - Day 8
Idag har vi åkt in till 'Australia's Europe', Melbourne city och gått runt lite i stan, väldigt mysig alternativ stad! Mycket gatumusikanter och häftiga gränder med små guldskatter (caféer, pubbar och butiker). Jag låter bilderna tala för dig själva

From Sydney to Melbourne

Hello Melbourne!
Idag vaknade vi upp i Melbourne hemma hos Rebecca efter att ha kommit hit morgonen innan och sovit pa en Greyhoundbuss i 12 timmar. Resan var definitivt helt okej men jag föredrar en skön säng över allt annat, prinsessa på ärten som jag är. När vi kom fram till Melbourne klockan 8 på morgonen tog vi oss hem till Rebecca och lämnade av vara väskor for att sen ta oss vidare till hennes jobb dar vi äntligen fick träffa henne. Där serverades vi gott kaffe, frukost och en liten lyxig eftermiddags cocktail. Efter det tog vi oss hem till Rebecca, hade en mysig middag och sen fick vi även träffa Issa och hennes två kompisar som kom och hälsade på. Nu far vi se vart Melbourne har att erbjuda!
// Today we woke up in Melbourne at Rebecca's after arriving the morning before with the Greyhound bus which took about 12 hours. The trip was definitely okay but I prefer a comfortable bed over anything else, picky as I am. When we arrived in Melbourne at 8 am we went to Rebecca's and dropped off our bags, then went to her job where we finally got to meet her. There, we were served a nice cup of coffee, breakfast and a little luxurious afternoon cocktail. After that we went home to Rebecca, had a nice dinner and got meet Issa and her two friends who came to visit. Now let's see what Melbourne has to offer! //
